Company ProfileW A & J King was established as a partnership by Joan and Walter Alan King [Alan] on 1st September 1963. W A & J King Pty Ltd was registered in June 1972, with Joan and Alan as Directors. Joan King still continues today along with David her son who joined in 1978. David now is Managing Director of the company.
ServicesOur company is primarily a transport company specialising in forest by-products. Supplying, transporting and processing materials for the landscape, nursery, garden centres, hydroponics, equine and poultry industries as well as catering for the home gardener. We currently transport in excess of 3,500 cubic metres per week.
ResourcesWe have a staff of 12 permanent employees with casuals being employed as required. Many of our permanent staff have been in the company’s employment for several years (some for over 25 years). We maintain an intensive training program for new staff and to assist more experienced staff, to ensure that our customers are receiving a quality service. Our current fleet consists of ten trucks, five loaders, trailers, tub grinders, screening plants, bagging machinery and associated equipment, all of which is maintained by our own staff in our fully equipped workshop.
